PaddleFoot is always looking for eager and qualified staff members for each season. Paddlefoot offers the opportunity to meet amazing people, guide on beautiful rivers and lakes and make lifelong memories. Our trips range from 3-56 days. Paddlefoot is currently accepting applications for contract guides.

Junior Assistant Guide (JAG)
- The successful candidate is a minimum of 18 years of age
- Junior Assistant guides provide support to the trip leaders and assistant guides
- Junior Assistant guides may be hired as full time or contract employees
- Junior Assistant guides work on as an apprentice and receive all safety gear to be dressed like a guide. They also receive free room & board.
These applicants must:
- Show promise of good leadership and counseling skills
- Be a team player. Our staff are frequently asked to maintain irregular hours or be on call for extended periods.
- The successful candidate is a minimum of 18 years of age
- Assistant guides provide support to the Trip leaders and River Guides
- Assistant guides may be hired as full-time or contract employees
These applicants must:
- be competent moving water canoeists
- have a minimum of 5 field weeks of logged trip time
- show promise of good counseling skills
- Be a team player. Our staff are frequently asked to maintain irregular hours or be on-call for extended periods
These applicants must possess or be willing to obtain the following minimum certifications:
- SRT 1
- WAFA (Advanced wilderness first aid)
- ORCA moving water 1 (or equivalent)
- Bronze Cross
- The successful candidate is a minimum of 20 years of age
- Guides are responsible for the overall comfort and safety of the group
- Guides are responsible for the safety and skills development on the river
- Guides may be hired as full time or contract employees
- Guides receive free room and board for the duration of their contract
These applicants must:
- Be accomplished moving water canoeists
- Have a minimum of 10 weeks logged guide time
- Have a minimum of 10 weeks of logged river time
- Possess instructional and counseling experience in a work environment
- Possess knowledge of river dynamics and group management on the river.
- Be a team player, our staff are frequently asked to maintain irregular hours or be on call for extended periods.
These applicants must possess or be willing to obtain the following certifications:
- SRTA (Swiftwater rescue technician advanced)
- WFR (Wilderness First Responder)
- ORCA moving water 2 ( or equivalent)
- NLS (National Lifeguard Service)
- Possess an Ontario F Class license (or equivalent) must drive a 15 passenger van
- The successful candidate is a minimum of 21 years of age
- Drivers are responsible for the safe transport of the group to and from the trip locations to Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa
- Drivers are responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of the vehicles during the summer
- Drivers receive free room and board for the duration of the contract.
These applicants must:
- Possess an Ontario F Class license (or equivalent) to drive 15 passenger vans
- Have a clean driving record
- Have experience doing long drives
- Be a team player, our drivers are frequently asked to maintain irregular hours or be on call for extended periods.
- The successful candidate is a minimum of 18 years of age
- Program Support Staff are responsible for assisting the program director in site maintenance, trip food packing, gear prep and repair and other site related duties.
These applicants must:
- Possess an Ontario F Class license (or equivalent) to drive 15 passenger vans
- Have a clean driving record
- Have some experience in the outdoor adventure industry
- Be a team player, our staff are frequently asked to maintain irregular hours or be on call for extended periods.
